Outdoor activities are always in season in Minneapolis Northwest. Our lakes and location on the Mississippi River ensure quality boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and paddle boarding, and our many parks are filled with miles and miles of beautiful hiking and biking trails. You can do almost any outdoor activity at Elm Creek park Reserve, which also features an archery range, a full disc golf course, and an exceptional winter recreation area. From November through march, enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, snowboarding, and skijoring all within the park. Many parks also offer equipment rentals and classes to get you started with a new activity.
