Bus is the primary public transportation available currently in Minneapolis Northwest. Metro Transit is the transportation resource for the Twin Cities, offering an integrated network of buses, light-rail, and commuter trains. The Northstar Commuter line train runs through nearby Fridley, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Ramsey, and Elk River. The light-rail currently serves, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Mall of America, and the airport. Continuing light-rail service from downtown Minneapolis to Brooklyn Park is under development for 2021!
