CENTRAL PARK ICE SKATE LOOP

Maple Grove. Ongoing (November-March): There are lots of places in Minnesota to hit the ice, but there’s only one ice skating loop. Since opening in 2014, the Central Park Ice Skate Loop in Maple Grove remains the only refrigerated ice skating trail in the state and one of only a few in North America. The 800-foot track winds its way through a landscape of pine trees, snowbanks and lights, creating a sensory experience not found with traditional rinks. A Zamboni maintains the ice, ensuring a smooth surface for all skaters. Skate rentals are available. Free; skate rentals $6; 763-566-7722; minneapolisnorthwest.com
