Minneapolis Northwest Tourism is thrilled to place the spotlight on five outstanding housekeepers that work to make each hotel guest in the Brooklyns feel that their stay at our local properties is a home away from home. 

In our spotlight we'd like to introduce you to Karen Munoz - Executive Housekeeper at LaQuinta Inn & Suites.

• What is your favorite place to visit? Wisconsin Dells, with my family.
• How do you relax after a long day? I pour a tall glass of lemonade and play outside games with my kids.
• What would people never guess about you? I’m a real people person. When I train people, we are able to communicate and build a relationship very easily.
• What is the wildest thing you’ve seen on the job? The case of the missing cat. A guest told me that her cat must have gotten out of her room. I asked if I could look in the room, but she insisted it had escaped so I got the help of our general manager, our owner and two other staff members to search for three hours for this cat. In the end I found the cat in her room under the sink in a small pigeonhole taking a nap. We were happy to find the cat but not so pleased I didn’t get home until 8 p.m. that night.
