GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — With Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park being the most diverse cities in Minnesota, Minneapolis Northwest is a destination to discover different cuisines, festivals and cultures.
One upcoming festival in the Minneapolis Northwest area is IgboFest, happening Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park.
Celebrating its 26th year, the free, family-friendly event celebrates the Igbo culture, the ethnic group native to south-central and southeastern Nigeria, but also welcomes many other cultures.
The day will be filled with food, music and dance.
