Centennial Park

Home to 10,000 acres of parkland, Minneapolis Northwest has more than enough space to spread out and relax.

Top parks include Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove, Hennepin County’s largest regional park! It is home to an enormous playground, chlorinated swimming pond, disc golf, nature center, and a winter recreation area. Meanwhile, River Park in Brooklyn Park is a beautiful greenspace along the Mississippi, perfect for picnics and fishing. Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park spans both sides of the Mississippi and has exciting renovations in the works. Or, hang out at Central Park, the area’s newest urban park.

In the summer, Minneapolis Northwest parks come alive with music and movies in the park. Brooklyn Center celebrated their 100 year anniversary with the opening of Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre; the newest area hotspot for concerts, events, and other programs.
