Tater Daze Festival
Come join us for a weekend of fun in Brooklyn Park! The annual Tater Daze Festival will be held June 16 to 18, 2016.
Brooklyn Park Tater Daze is a unique festival where residents pay homage to the humble potato. Early settlers discovered that potatoes flourished in the flat, sandy soil of the area. Through the Great Depression, drought and urbanization, Brooklyn Park has shown its strength as a community willing to work together and make our city a welcoming place for everyone.
The festival is sponsored by the city of Brooklynn Park, Minneapolis Northwest Tourism, local businesses and community organizations.
There are many fun-filled activities for the entire family. Events such as a queen pageant, Tater Mash Dance, kite flying, parade, games, farmer's market, rides and pancake breakfast are highlights of the festival. Many prizes given away this weekend including bags of potatoes donated by local growers.
