Saint Paul Winter Carnival
Experience the 133rd Saint Paul Winter Carnival!
Winter is the most wonderful time of the year and Rice Park has the events to prove it during the 133rd Saint Paul Winter Carnival. The event is free and open to the public with most activities taking place in downtown Saint Paul near Rice Park and the Landmark Center. A 4,000 block, 70-foot tall Ice Palace will be constructed in the heart of the city and will shine over Rice Park throughout the extended 17-day Carnival. The park, decorated with beautiful lights and greenery, will also host live entertainment, vendor booths, ice sculptures and other activities. You can even enjoy local Summit beer or Cannon River wine at the ice bar. At the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, the Winter Carnival’s Vulcan Snow Park will feature snow sculptures, two polar plunges, lawn mower and barstool ski races, and a giant snow slide.
