The Bakken Museum

Since 1975, The Bakken Museum has been committed to nurturing a passion for science in visitors from around the world. The Bakken Museum is the world's only library and museum devoted to medical electricity. Focused on scholars and on young people, it educates visitors about the history of electricity and electromagnetism from 1200 AD to the present. Founded by Earl Bakken, a Minneapolis native and co-founder of Medtronic, the museum offers something for everyone – an historic mansion, unique collections, medicinal gardens, dynamic exhibits and rich education experiences.
