Blog: Get Your Cape On – Help Set a World Record

Have you ever wanted to be a Super-Hero?  Have you ever wanted to break a World Record?  What if we told you that you can do both (at the same time)?! The 30-Days Foundation is attempting to break the world record for the most people wearing Super-Hero capes in one place next Thursday, July 18th at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove.

Capes will be provided to participants but they are also welcome to bring their own.  A big photo with everyone wearing the capes will be taken at 7:30pm. The event will feature delicious food, music by the Irresistibles (featuring Mick Sterling, founder of the 30-Days Foundation) and plenty of fun, family activities.  The admission is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.  Seventy percent of the funds raised will benefit the Cross Food Shelf, the largest food pantry in the North Metro Area.  The remaining 30 percent of funds will benefit the 30-Days Foundation.

The 30-Days Foundation celebrates the simple act of kindness by providing one-time grants for people in financial and personal crisis, made payable only to the service provider for those requesting assistance. This is going to be one of the most memorable, fun and silliest events of the summer in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro!  Bring your friends, family and everyone you can think of and be a part of something remarkable. "Because when you help someone in need, that makes you a Super-Hero” You can find more details on their Facebook event page - RSVP and invite others!
