91. Visit the Minneapolis Institute of Art with your significant other and discover the talent of many great artists together. This art museum has three floors of nearly 900 American and European works that date back to the fourteenth century to the present year. If you don’t get through it all, you can always come back for another date – it’s FREE.

92. As a couple, learn how to paint in a colorful environment at the Paint Pub in Maple Grove. This art studio provides a romantic time for couples to learn how to paint the theme of the night while sipping on a glass of wine or beer. It’s a great way to relax with each other.

93. Discover the world of contemporary art with your date at the Walker Art Museum. Venture outside to explore new attractions or take a tour of the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens. Here you can take funny photos together with the famous Cherry & Spoon sculpture.

94. Take the time to explore the largest open door studio tour in the country with your date. Every summer Art-A-Whirl allows you to walk through 60 local art studios, interact with artists, ask questions about how their piece of art was created and more. It’s a great way to get out and enjoy Minneapolis’ great art scene.

If you and your date enjoy movies, the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival is a must!  This festival offers regular screening times of the year’s best classic, independent, contemporary, local, national and international films. Afterwards, walk around the Stone Arch Bridge area for a glimpse of Minneapolis’ romantic city lights.

If you and your date are theatrical enthusiasts, then the Minnesota Fringe Festival is a must-attend event!  This two week festival of live stage performances gives you two the chance to see something new, unique or just out-of-the-box.  Choose from theater, dance, performance art, puppetry, spoken word and storytelling. 

99. The Maple Grove Arts Center has many art shows throughout the year you and your date can enjoy.  Events such as the Red Show & the Green Show and the Black & White Show feature artists from Maple Grove and the surrounding area.

100. Inside a striking stainless steel and brick building is the Weisman Art Museum.  You and your date can spend time learning about early twentieth-century American artists, such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Marsden Hartley, plus ceramics and contemporary art.
