SEA LIFE Minnesota Opening $2 Million Stingray Adventure

The ocean will get a whole lot bigger at SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium March of 2015. The Aquarium is excited to announce a $2 million dollar expansion full of new state-of-the-art experiences for its guests including the all new Stingray Adventure. Guests will be able to explore all new creatures, touch and feed dozens of stingrays, and be immersed into the ocean world like never before in the largest expansion since SEA LIFE Minnesota opened!

Guests will be able to explore all new creatures, touch and feed dozens of stingrays, and be immersed into the ocean world like never before in the largest expansion since SEA LIFE Minnesota opened! 

Featured New Additions:

Stingray Adventure – a touching encounter

  • Emerging from a coastal cave, guests will dive into a world of stingrays at the all new 15,000 gallon Ray Pool where kids of all ages can touch and feed these graceful creatures. The ray experience, over two and a half times larger than the previous ray exhibit, will house dozens of stingrays.

Pacific Northwest Touchpool

  • Guests will traverse alongside the breathtaking Pacific Northwest coast touchpool, three times larger than the previous touch pool, complete with underwater cameras for the ultimate close-up encounter. The new touch pool will be cold water instead of the previous warm water touchpool allowing for even more colorful and unique creatures to touch and discover.

Shipwreck

  • An eye-catching ship will be at the entrance of this new addition. Guests will venture through a giant ship complete with a memorizing schooling fish exhibit and port holes which give a behind the scenes peek of the exhibit in motion.

SEA LIFE Minnesota will be open everyday during the expansion and the Aquarium is giving guests a special free comeback ticket for a limited time. The free 2015 ticket will be given to regular admission guests who come to the Aquarium, and the ticket will be valid for free admission in May of 2015 so guests can experience the all new adventure.
