CSI: The Experience to open at Mall of America March 13

The immersive experience is one of two new exhibits in the  Mall of America EMS Exhibit Center. Opening next to the Barbie Dreamhouse Experience, guests can begin solving crimes in CSI: The Experience on Thursday, March 13.

Mall of America® will welcome CSI: The Experience as the second exhibit to open in the new 60,000 square foot Mall of America EMS Exhibit Center on level 3 in the southeast corner of the Mall. Opening next to the Barbie Dreamhouse Experience, guests can begin solving crimes in CSI: The Experience on Thursday, March 13.

Based on the top-rated “CSI” television series, CSI: The Experience is a challenging and fun multi-sensory attraction that places guests in the role of crime scene investigators as they solve one of three true-to-life mysteries.

Developed by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and produced by EMS Entertainment, Inc. under a license from CBS Consumer Products, CSI: The Experience combines the entertainment of the hit show with real-life scientific principles and investigative techniques – from DNA and fingerprint analysis to forensic anthropology and toxicology.

On the journey, guests explore one of three detailed crime scenes – “A House Collided,” where a car and its driver will appear to have crashed through the living room of a quiet suburbia residence; “Who Got Served,” where the body of a young woman will be found behind a motel; and “No Bones About It,” where human remains will be uncovered in the desert.

Spanning 15,000 square feet and featuring thousands of hand-made props, CSI: The Experience will come to life through a captivating multi-media environment featuring dazzling special effects, meticulous crime scene recreations and two state-of-the-art crime labs. An introductory video from “CSI” creator Anthony E. Zuiker and informative videos from the cast will guide “recruits” through the experience, but it will be up to the guests to determine whodunit.

CSI: The Experienceis designed for guests 12 years of age or older. Admission is $16.99 for adults and $9.99 for children ages 5 to 12.
